The Scottish Recovery Network

The Network aims to engage service providers , service users and the wider community in debate on how best to promote and support recovery for people who experience long-term mental health problems.

Recovery is a deeply personal process but experience in other countries shows that developing an expectation of recovery amongst service users and providers and critically assessing the way that services are provided can have a powerful impact on an individual's prospects of living a fulfilling and satisfying life within a community.

Promoting and supporting recovery is one of the four key aims of the Scottish Executive's National Programme for Improving Mental Health and Well-being. The Scottish Recovery Network is funded entirely through this programme.
